WWII was the last Constitutionally declared war by Congress with all multiple subsequent conflicts being decided by an unelected council. While many countries participated in the fight to end Nazism, it was the force of American men who supported those countries in ending the most tyrannical regime of the 20th century.
In 2022, it was estimated the only 167,284 of those veterans are still alive. But that does not account for the 16 million Americans who served during the war, and the estimated 420,000 who died. For all those sacrifices, including those who did not engage directly in combat, we must be reminded especially of those who took a bullet for us. How are Americans honoring their sacrifice? The saying goes, you'll never meet an atheist in a foxhole. Yet America has made sure that the very faith that carried these Americans through the war and at home has been wiped from its soul. And we are making sure children don't understand the role of faith in their lives. Education has been allowed to take control over children, ensuring the sacrifices made for them by Americans are never taught, instead, filling their heads with a fantasy world of equality, lack of want, forever peace, and transforming individual thought to one of collectivism and group think. What was a selfless society that gave and sacrificed for men who fought, we now have a world full of self-absorbed individuals demanding their entitlements, proclaiming their right to anything they want and how they behave, and falsely deserve while taking their selfies, with forced tolerance by others. Millions of foreigners are flooding America with zero intent for allegiance or loyalty to it, with little desire to understand the significance of its history, or appreciation for those who fought for it. How are those who took a bullet for us being honored? What sacrifices are being made to preserve what they fought for? What more can be done beyond a "Thank you for your service", annual days of remembrance and parades, or an occasional movie that depicts their sacrifices? Those Americans took a bullet for us protecting our country....and this is how we carry that responsibility, by not defending anything, but rather choosing to elect a senile man to act as as a totalitarian, letting non-American entities make decisions about how the world's future will look and how lives will be lived, and watching as unconstitutional federal agencies run amok. Instead, we choose to sit by and ruminate over stories meant only for distraction from the real destruction being carried out under the guise of constant predictions of doom and gloom, and being led by the nose with constantly changing false narratives. And who needs a government anymore, social engineering of a society and decision-making by science will work better for a socially just and equitable society. Under the ruse that all of this is being done for "future generations", in reality future children will not be allowed to decide their own future, it is being decided for them, right now. This is so opposite from those who fought to protect our freedom to choose. This is how we guard what was entrusted to us? Out of the many ways in which we could take our sovereignty back, both as individuals and a country, we refuse to do it. Is it because of fear? Choosing to lament about these conditions on social media instead of discussing actions and solutions...this is the sorry way in which to honor those who took a bullet for us. Maybe the United Nations, World Economic Forum, Mr. Global, and all the other corrupt groups are right. As society has descended into moral decay and separation from the Constitution while continuing to acquiesce, maybe there does need to be more control over humans with surveillance to ensure that everyone is behaving appropriately, or rather accepting their dictates of compliance. Access to goods should be controlled with a central bank digital currency to ensure that no one gets more than their fair share. Maybe population growth should be lowered and controlled so fewer deplorables are around. The assaults we are currently under might be greater than any America has faced before. Not only are we under siege by a world of corporations, groups that are systematically blurring our sovereign boundaries with regional decisions, but we are also under siege by a government that literally is as tyrannical as King George, and we know who is at the helm of this oligarchy with minions that are rolling out dictates they want, while violating laws that were written to protect our rights. Just as if it were a daily Pearl Harbor, the same assaults are being forced on us...every day, because we are not fighting to protect ourselves. Cities built with dense housing, renewable energy, electric vehicles, controlling appliances, increased government dependency, migration, more surveillance, loss of free speech and censorship, central bank digital currency instead of a dollar bill, government in bed with corporations, money being sucked out of every working individual to give to other countries and to those who contribute nothing...and the list of assaults is growing. And here we sit here, doing nothing, many times hiding behind those who have been willing to put their lives and livelihoods in front of those enemies. Why are so many unwilling to take the bullet, especially now before the real bullets begin to fly? The current status would probably be best described by these soldiers as a complete FUBAR. But this is the thanks we have chosen to give them. What will it take to awaken the sleeping giant again?

On June 20, 2023 Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Interior regarding Opposition to Proposed Rule “Conservation and Landscape Health. The Bunderville incident occurred in 2014 where citizens gathered to support Cliven Bundy and his stand against the removal of his cattle by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). It ended up with BLM law enforcement agents pointing guns at those citizens and some of those citizens pointing guns back. Luckily, it was the county Sheriff who diffused the situation but many of those citizens were arrested and incarcerated.
It was due to one courageous BLM employee who stood up to the agency and exposed the truth that resulted in the release of some citizens. Larry Wooten was the assigned Case Agent/Lead Investigator on behalf of the BLM Bunkerville incident. His investigation "revealed widespread conduct, ethical and professional issues as well as potential crimes, policy violations and “cover-ups" by the BLM. It was through his leaked email, called the Wooten I document, that U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro declared a mistrial in December 2017, as the memo contained allegations that BLM employees were unprofessional, withheld exculpatory evidence, and the BLM did not follow the law. Efforts to follow BLM policy and bring this information to upper level management by Mr. Wooten during his investigation received no response. The Wooten II document, which contains far more specific allegations and details about the BLM, was entered into a court of law and released. It is a lengthy and at times difficult document to read as it contains information about the inner workings of the BLM with interspersed information about the Bunkerville incident, and is often repetitive. What makes it so valuable is that it exposes the corruption and unethical contamination of a federal agency. Following are some highlights specific to Bunkerville. One word of caution, this document does contain vulgar language and sexual material used by the BLM, and religious harassment. Again, these are allegations by Mr. Wooten. Mr. Wooten alleged that the Bunkerville incident was led by a “BLM Special Agent-in-Charge”, referring to Dan Love, and as a result, “involved officers and protestors were themselves pawns”. All of this information was overlooked by higher authorities, and was not provided to the prosecution team. He also cited Cliven Bundy as a responsible party in this event (pg 2). During the time of the investigation, Mr. Wooten was subjected to “Whistleblowing Discouragement, Retaliation, and Intimidation.” BLM management fully participated in this misconduct (pg 3) which included extremely vulgar language and unprofessional behavior by employees. The report also includes the accusation that illegal monitoring of jail calls was instituted (pgs 4-6). It appears this information was not turned over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office as required (pg 7). It was also in this memo that Mr. Wooten alleged the U.S. Attorney’s Office Prosecution Team adopted a “policy of preferred ignorance in regard to the likely gross misconduct on the part of senior management from the BLM Office of Law Enforcement…” and that evidence of exculpatory material be withheld (pg 9). On page 11 Mr. Wooten identifies the parties involved in this massive cover-up, the “lack of character” by those who had the ability to stop these crimes, and that his original notes had been seized. Also, on pages 11-12 he cited multiple policy violations by BLM leadership, and "potential Constitutional issues". On October 13, 2016 Mr. Wooten once again reported the unprofessional behaviors on a telephone conference with an Assistant US Attorney, and FBI Special Agent, describing altered images of defendants, sexually explicit emails, and a “kill book” to get defendants to kill themselves. This was met with a response that those activities were funny and “not a big deal” (pgs 18-19) Clear instructions on how the BLM SAC should respond in the Bunkerville incident were outlined by the U.S. Attorney’s Office on March 26, 1014. These directives included no initial use of force, the BLM was to stand down and step back where possible, and that “any arrests must be approved by an AUSA prior to the arrest”. This was met with a response from “a BLM SAC” that a show of force would not be a first play and awareness of consequences for abuse of authority (pgs 23-24). However, that agent then stated, “Although a passive approach may have the desired effect, it may also be considered a sign of weakness…which may embolden one or more members of those we are confronting”. Around the same time an order was issued to impound Bundy’s cattle where a BLM SAC said “something like “we’re going to go out there and kick Cliven Bundy in the teeth “or mouth” and take his cows.” An iPad was also taken from Dave Bundy who was arrested while filming these impound operations (pgs 23-24). Other intimidating statements are on these pages. Notations were made by Mr. Wooten in November, 2014 that the seized iPad had “likely unacceptable indication of unprofessionalism and potential evidence of excessive physical force” (pg 29). It was also during this time he received accolades for his work on the Bunkerville case (pg 30). Around September, 2015 Mr. Wooten noted that a lead prosecutor mentioned the theory that Bundy’s cattle were sickly and in bad shape. He countered this with the fact that the cattle were in good physical shape (pg 35). He also speaks to a pin-up at the BLM Southern Nevada District Office that made comparisons of the Bundy’s to Ted Bundy and others, and an unflattering posting of Cliven Bundy. Even though the “over use and unjustifiable use of cost codes” infers “misconduct”, one agent bragged about a fly rod and reel being “purchased with authorized investigation overtime money”. Also referenced was the BLM Deputy Director at the time stating “when Democrats win elections, public service jobs are safer…and funded better”. It was also noted that the lead prosecutor intended to “charge the subjects with the maximum possible charges” rather than the recommended lesser charges (pgs 36-37). Upon the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge takeover in Burns, Oregon, Mr. Wooten alleges the “office narrative” was “there needs to be an officer involved shooting to make these types of people get the message” (pg 38). In January, 2016 an email was sent around that contained a link to a derogatory article in Rolling Stones about the Bundys. The email was also shared with a “potential trial witness”. Along with this several other derogatory emails were sent out about the Bundys that included “sexually explicit material and profane language” (pg 41). An overall lack of concern for the death of LaVoy Finicum was noted. Mr. Wooten also documented plain clothes operations were conducted at this time without case documentation. Another reference to a derogatory email about Ammon Bundy was also made on page 42. Congratulatory remarks were made by BLM officials via emails upon the arrest of Cliven Bundy which led to Mr. Wooten being concerned about it having a negative effect on the investigation (pgs 43-44). On pages 45-47 Mr. Wooten gave clear indications that BLM staff were pleased with their efforts in doing their job with the Bunkerville arrests, again creating demeaning pictures to pass around as well as posting them in areas where civilians could see them. On the same pages, Mr. Wooten exposes a severe disregard for and violation of the law by the BLM. As part of the Federal Land Policy Management Act (FLPMA), 43 USC 1733(c) (1) states that contracts with local law enforcement shall be offered to assist with enforcement of laws and regulations on federal land which was not done at Bunkerville. Even the BLM website states it has a partnership with the Western States Sheriff's Association and is under FLPMA, so why wasn't this law followed? A discussion about the illegally recorded phone conversations on the detainees while in jail can be found on page 48. The lead prosecutor advised them to stop this activity. Also mentioned was the use of equipment for “covert monitoring” in the field and around campsites which Mr. Wooten advised was not legal. Mr. Wooten disclosed the BLM held a "parabolic microphone covert/spy listening device and bionic ear booster and amplifier" in storage. Further derogatory emails and texts being sent out were discussed through page 49 and may have been “unlawfully deleted”. In June, 2016 there was discussion about putting BLM SAC, Dan Love, in charge of a Threat Mitigation Unit (TMU) to "hide him" (pg 52). TMU's began in the 1990's by the LA police department, and are comprised of a "team that provides criminal and behavioral analysis and risk assessments in an attempt to review, and ultimately mitigate, the potential for violence with an emphasis on prevention." These "threat assessments" are now part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including Idaho. The BLM has a link to the DHS as part of its Emergency Management Program. DHS now has a full blown program on terrorism and threats, including "domestic terrorism". Mr. Wooten expressed concern that this "threat analysis and mitigation strategies" for personnel, facilities, resources, visitors, and partners would be perceived as "mission creep", meaning "intelligence gathering on Constitutionally protected activities" (pg 52). Also on this page was a clear mockery of the Constitution by a Senior BLM Supervisory Law Enforcement Officer. Mr. Wooten was informed that an Assistant Special Agent in Charge stated to an audience, “What XXXXXXX is trying to say is that we are going to go out there and kick Cliven Bundy in the teeth (or mouth) and take his cows” (pg 55) with more inappropriate behavior by the BLM SAC through page 56. Continued on pages 56-66, Mr. Wooten numerically outlines concerns, about how the Bunkerville incident involved multiple abuses of power such as destruction of documents, failure to follow directives, abuse of authority, unprofessional conduct, false statements, illegal monitoring of conversations, failure of upper administration to respond to raised concerns, confidentiality violations, and other allegations. A discussion about the dismissal of exculpatory evidence is highlighted on page 74. Efforts to contribute to a fair trial were clearly ignored. In spite of the BLM denying the use of snipers, the types of weapons used by the BLM and the disclosure of their use of snipers can be found on pages 62 and 93. Mr. Wooten again reiterated BLM's failure to follow 43 USC 1733(c) (1) on pages 83-89. While it is referenced in this document that this law does not apply to Idaho, that is inaccurate. In spite of multiple attempts by Mr. Wooten to follow the 1981 BLM policy on reporting misconduct with upper management, he was released from this case on Feb 17, 2017 and his files seized (pgs 96-99). Dan Love, BLM Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Bunkerville incident was promoted for his failures, then exited the BLM in 2017. The BLM does have a public site where misconduct can be reported. It appears that no lessons were learned by the BLM as they continue to ignore the law and engage with crony corporate partners that monetarily benefits them, and will continue to remove the use of the land by citizens, including the right of cattle ranchers to grazing. This is one federal agency that needs to be eliminated. However, it really is a testament to just how far the government has exceeded its enumerated powers and ballooned into an overpowering and tyrannical regime. If one man, Mr. Wooten, has the courage to bring this truth forward at the expense of his own livelihood, what is every other man and woman doing to be as courageous standing in the defense of the Constitution? More documents on this investigation can be found here. Apeel is a corporation whose product applies "plant-based" protections on fruits and vegetables "to slow the rate of oxidation and moisture loss." In doing so, this food maintains a longer shelf life and ultimately reduces "food waste".
Founded in 2012, and partially funded by Bill Gates and others. Apeel "has prevented 42 million pieces of fruit from going to waste at retail locations...with "up to 50% reduction in avocado food waste", while conserving "nearly 4.7 billion liters of water". Unknowingly, everyone has already been exposed to this "natural" extra peel on fruit. Granted, most people don't eat the shells of avocados, oranges, or bananas, but what about that apple, cucumber, or orange and lemon zest? It's likely most people don't realize this stuff has already been applied to their produce. "Apeel is composed entirely of purified monoglycerides and diglycerides", substances that can be found in other foods, and declared safe to eat by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and World Health Organization (WHO). Now doesn't that make one feel better? While Apeel's site goes to great lengths to not answer what the ingredients are, it does state it is "composed entirely of a mixture of food grade glycerolipids derived from edible plant oils, specifically the food additive mono-and diglycerides of fatty acids". It is also "Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) in the United States". Gotta love that "generally" remark. Extra safety assurance is given that Apeel aligns "with the requirements of UN Global Compact and OECD-FAO Guidance for Responsible Agricultural Supply Chains." There are two different products for application. Invisipeel is applied to crops in the field and is a "molecular mix that throws off pests like bacteria, fungi, and insects" that can't be washed off. Edipeel is applied to the produce after harvest where produce is sprayed or dipped into the Apeel solution. This solution solidifies and forms a barrier around the produce. Organipeel, listed under an Apeel trademark application, appears to be an umbrella name for Invisipeel and Edipeel. It is an antimicrobial agent being "approved for 2 sites including vegetable wash water and fruit wash water", and "for 3 pests and pest groups including but not limited to decay, storage microorganisms, and deterioration/spoilage bacteria" by Pomerix Pest Solutions. It is registered as a pestiside with clear hazards to humans and animals. The active ingredient is citric acid but its inert ingredients are not identified. On page 21 of this document, Apeel states Organipeel can be used on organic products as a pesticide, or fungicide, "for post-harvest handling of raw agricultural commodities." Multiple patents, with many approved, have been sought, and has interesting information on some. Besides citric acid, other ingredients can include esters, amides, amines, thiols, carboxylic acids, ethers, and aliphatic waxes, none of which appear to be harmful. However, residues of ethyl acetate, heptane, palladium, arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury have been found from the production process. Apeel derives monoacylglycerides from grape seeds, claiming them "to be as safe and as acceptable as other mono- and diglycerides." Of minor concern is the mono-diglycerides component. One study found that this compound does improve lutein absorption. However, monoglycerides contain small amounts of trans fats which can contribute to heart disease, but in general are found to be safe for consumption. Much concern and questions have been raised about this invisible protective coat being used on produce, but the FDA finds nothing to be concerned about. It has even been applied to organic food which caused some alarm. Looking at all of the independent studies however, it does not appear that there should be cause for concern. Again, what the real concern should be is how food is being manipulated. James Rogers, founder and CEO of Apeel, is a World Economic Forum (WEF) Young Global Leader. His Apeel corporation is a WEF partner and endorsed by the World Food Programme. The real concern is the corporate world screwing around with food without most people's knowledge, or that food being manipulated in other ways, such as the recent approval of lab grown chicken, gene edited pork, or genetically engineered salmon. The obsession to play God by these technocrats is beyond belief. That should be the most primary concern, what is being done to change our food in so many ways. Stores where Apeel products are sold can be found here. Some major stores selling this product are Walmart, Krogers (Fred Meyer), and Cost-co. If not sure, look for this logo on the product. More information about Apeel can be found in this video starting at the 5:30 mark. While this is about Boise, every Idahoan should be on the alert for it happening in their city.
The Boise City Council recently approved a massive change in the city's zoning codes that will "permit the inclusion of more housing units, diverse housing options, and an increase in mixed-use districts. This is called upzoning, and consequently, development along transit corridors will be denser, combining both residential and retail spaces", opening the door to more money. A copy of the 611 page Boise Zoning Code Adoption Draft can be found here. One group fighting this change is Reject Boise Upzone. Among many other concerns, issues they raise include a lack of citizen involvement in the decision, a resulting lack of affordable housing and reduction in lot sizes, increasing ADU sizes, and the fact that "2 of 6 council members were not elected by public vote". Resources for other information can be found on their website. Traditional zoning codes are now perceived as exclusionary, damage equity, inhibit growth, and should be eliminated. There is also some thought that these codes perpetuate segregation and hinder sustainable development. Changing these codes addresses equity in every way possible. There is truth to this. Why should a person who works their arse off to better their lives be allowed to have property that isn't made available to others? Some think changes in zoning codes don't go far enough. After all, housing is a human right. So what is upzoning? Simply put, it is "changing the zoning code to allow taller and/or denser buildings", thereby creating more development. But it isn't just building size and numbers, it goes much farther with a drastic reduction in single housing lots and size, increased accessory dwelling units (ADU), reduced car use, and increased mass transportation with more walking and biking. Somehow, this is supposed to create social justice, equality, and protect the environment. These zoning changes are also typically built near mass transportation to move all those extra people around, and "promote inclusionary growth". ADUs can be built on existing single family lots. An addition can be added to the house, the space above a garage converted to an apartment, or a separate unit on the lot can be used for rent. Or a home can be split in half creating a rental unit. The whole purpose is to increase the number of people living on one lot, providing more housing "affordability", options, equity, and inclusion, and protect the environment from less car use. From where does all of this nonsense originate? The 1968 Fair Housing Act barred discriminatory practices regarding housing. In 2015, the then president decided to create some new rules to "combat segregation and wide-spread discrimination in neighborhoods". Basically, these rules began surveillance of housing to identify "patterns of integration and segregation, racially and ethnically concentrated areas of poverty, disproportionate housing needs, and disparities in access to opportunity.” In 2020, President Trump rescinded this rule. As soon as the current administration came into office, the rule was reinstated and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reinstated it in 2021. This brings the requirement of ensuring cities have a blend of housing that meets the needs of all, including workforce housing for the influx of migrants. None of these rules fall under any congressional law. The theory: It isn't perceived as fair that lower income populations are not allowed to live in wealthier areas. Single family homes are hoarded by the wealthy so development in those areas should be mixed with lower income populations, and minority integration for inclusion, equity, and social justice. Tucked inside this debacle was the idea of loosening zoning regulations to increase housing availability. Like any other fad, or agenda in this case, the idea flourished and has already been executed in places such as Seattle, New York, and Oregon in spite of evidence that it does not increase affordability. There is also the issue of gentrification, which is the influx of the wealthy "white" into poor areas to renovate homes or businesses, increasing property values, but not housing supply. This whole agenda is a rehash for high density, compact, and mixed-use housing, but now it is invading private property rights, based on the fallacy of racism while pursuing social justice and social engineering objectives. How will a neighbor's decision to build an ADU affect your property value? Or having a ten story high rise apartment complex built next to your single family lot? This Brookings article covers some upzoning issues. It is also a step closer to the 15 minute city concept. Housing and the homeless have been a focus of Boise Mayor Lauren McLean. The most current data shows there are 687 people "without housing" in Boise, 101 of those without shelter. She supports the notion of preventing eviction, paying people's rent, and "increasing affordable units". In 2022, McLean joined House America with other mayors, in exchange for federal goodies to create more housing that feeds right into the mortgage industry, and may bring an opportunity to pursue more money for spending on her pet project as she already has. While background information on Ms. McLean is fluffy and Boise oriented, and she preaches her love of Boise ad nauseam, the truth is she is far more involved in activities and groups that are distant from Boise, and Idaho for that matter. Along with Rep. Ilana Rubel and many national figures with whom she can hobnob, Ms. McLean is one of the NewDEAL leaders, "who are pro-growth progressives" that are just full of ideas. The Mayors Institute on City Design (MICD), "a leadership initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts", guides Ms. McLean towards transforming Boise towards big city projects. The American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) gives Ms. McLean an opportunity to learn about China for a global perspective. Wonder if she understands "the people who gave their lives for China" were actually murdered along with many, many others. As a Notre Dame graduate, she is gutting the very place she believes is "so special". Having a degree in environmental policy, Ms. McLean is very much an environmentalist, being responsible for building a wall of no growth around Boise so the city can be more compacted and congested with people. She also supports the America the Beautiful 30x30 plan, to conserve 30% of land by 2030. In this interview, she discusses how she has moved Boise towards that goal by planting trees, having full support of residents, and fluffing over the source of her climate objectives. But, she ain't telling the whole story of what she is really doing. America Is All In, led by Michael Bloomberg as appointed by the United Nations Special Envoy on Climate Ambition and Solutions, is an organization that supports climate action, and in which Ms. McLean belongs. She has set a target for city government to be carbon neutral by 2035, and the community with a target of 2050. The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) "share a long-term vision to combat climate change". A regional partner with this organization is the Climate Mayors of which Ms. McLean is a member and participant. As part of the Climate Mayors, she signed a letter committing to "adopt, honor and uphold Paris Climate Agreement goals" and was recently assigned to a steering committee to "strengthen city climate action". As a side note, GCoM is a participant with the World Economic Forum (WEF). Being carbon neutral by 2050 is a WEF goal, and her "100% “clean” energy by 2030" goal also belongs to the WEF. Her upzoning plan comes straight out of the objectives in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, while the WEF sees ADUs as one way to alleviate the housing crisis. Her playbook for WEF housing begins on page 18. Another GCoM partner is C40 Cities which has an Urban Planning agenda for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that promotes development in transit-oriented locations with an emphasis on affordable housing, and works toward a model of compact communities and 15 minute cities. Along with Climate Mayors they have a guidebook on how to spend money for these climate actions. In an effort to appear loyal to America, Ms. McLean is a member of the United States Conference of Mayors, where she can bring information back from the global elite to contaminate the minds of other mayors under its Alliance for a Sustainable Future, climate program, and MICD in which she is involved. Ms. McLean's agenda and associations with deep pockets doesn't go unnoticed by those paying attention. As a Democrat she has no qualms about using taxpayer money to grow the government for her agenda and "transform" it into being more equitable. For sure, she is using the WEF roadmap for Boise's climate action plan. The WEF vision is her vision, and mission. That's right, Ms. McLean is taking Boise down the WEF Great Reset path that will end up being a smart city or a 15 minute city design. There will be no escape as cars will no longer be available for escaping. Thanks to Ms. McLean, representing Boise citizens, and how they want their city to look and progress, has been taken over by outside organizations. Ms. McLean is bringing all of the WEF miasma and totalitarian objectives to Boise citizens that will also have an impact on surrounding cities. The goal has always been to infiltrate local governments with Agenda 21 objectives, and this is how the Great Reset gets integrated at a local level. That must be what the majority wants, as they elected Ms. McLean. Tremendous dichotomies exist with land management. Money pours in for forest fire prevention while at the same time forests are allowed to become burdened with fuel loads that only act as incinerators. "We let forests burn" is an insane ideology. Fires destroy the habitat environmentalists crusade to protect. The introduction of wolves has resulted in the loss of wildlife, one issue environmentalists champion for protection. Renewable energy is one of the most damaging to the environment under the guise of protecting it. One doozy of a dichotomy exists with Elk and Deer. Are potential causes of disease in these majestic animals being ignored or dismissed for a reason?
Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a fatal disease affecting Elk, Deer, Moose, and other wildlife, where the animal experiences neurological deterioration. It first appeared at Slate Creek in Idaho County, November 2021. Idaho Fish & Game (IDFG) claims CWD is a Prion disease, a malformed protein that enters the brain, with no understanding of "how it is spread". But the actions they are taking to minimize the spread, which speak louder than their words, suggest they believe it is spread by direct contact. The animal eventually wastes away from a poor immune response, starvation, and weakness. IDFG focuses on minimizing its spread and developed a strategy in 2021 that includes surveillance and monitoring with the help of hunters, along with "cutting deer density to reduce CWD risk". . Elk Hoof Disease (EHD) was also discovered in Idaho County in 2018. This disease is blamed on a Treponema spirochete bacterium that is suspected to cause hoof abnormalities and lameness in elk, leading to poor health and death. It was recently discovered that it is spread by "exposure to soil contaminated with hooves from affected elk". Drawing this conclusion, however, is problematic as this study gave limited consideration to other soil or environmental factors, failed to use pesticide contaminated soil, artificially created a condition with an overabundance of a pathogen, and wrapped the Elk's hooves in inoculation, creating an environment that would not be found on Elk in the wild. This map shows where EHD has been discovered in the Pacific Northwest. While Prion and Treponema have nothing to do with each other, what IDFG is failing to consider is soil health and how that may be contributing to the spread of both diseases. Why would they ignore that possibility? Idaho has a Noxious Weed program for invasive species in which IDFG participates because of its invasion into Elk forage. Biological treatment is emphasized for elimination of these weeds however, "chemical treatment is the most common option where feasible". IDFG, however, is rather secretive about what chemicals they use. The US Forest Service also has a Pesticide Management program that does not identify what chemicals are used. Commonly used pesticide agents include Glyphosate, Atrazine, 2,4-D, and Milestone. It is well known that these chemicals destroy everything in their path and have toxic effects to humans. One hypothesis is that these chemicals also cause EHD. Atrazine is particularly devastating to the immune system. Other contributing pesticides to EHD and CWD are Sulfonylurea and Diuron as both can inhibit microbial activity in the soil. Overall, these chemicals not only destroy Elk forage, they also have a damaging effect on soil health. While many variables determine how long pesticides remain in the soil, they can persist up to a decade. Manganese is "an essential human dietary element" found in soil and plants. Manganese deficiency can lead to gut and immune dysfunction, and has a relationship to Prion disease. Studies have shown that Glyphosate depletes Manganese in plants. Selenium, another trace element in soil necessary for plant development, is also dependent on soil microorganisms and cannot be easily applied to soil. Its depletion in soil has also been associated with deteriorating animal health by disrupting a healthy immune system, again suggestive of CWD, and in hoof deformities. Chemical spraying, and its adverse impact on soil, does appear to be a common source for both diseases, yet it has not been adequately researched. At hand is the lack of consideration that pesticides not only kill noxious weeds, but also destroy living organisms in the soil that maintains its health. In fact, the same corporations that produce pesticides are touting their investments in soil health, while claiming that poor soil health is from climate change. But the truth is they destroy the soil in order to put forward profit making solutions. To the rescue is lucrative corporate markets that create products to fix the problems they create. Corporations have even hijacked associations to advance their cause. Syngenta products include herbicides, and through its Biologicals, and its partner Valagro, sells products to fix the damage they cause as part of its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Brexil Combi, made by Valagro, contains a Manganese replacement. Monsanto, producer of Glysophate products, was bought by Bayer in 2016. As was Monsanto, both Syngenta and Bayer are World Economic Forum (WEF) partners. Along with its government pals, Bayer has declared Glyphosate as safe, in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Bayer also blames climate change and loss of biodiversity as a problem while having several products that actually destroy biodiversity, and is being fined for its false safety claims. Corteva, a descendant of DuPont, produces Milestone. Called Aminopyralid, it is a pesticide that tends to remain in the soil and carry over and damage new growth. Could ruined soil be the planned precursor to invest in "microbial-based solutions", or completely revamp soil composition, all the while messing around with RNA genetics and engineering soil microorganisms? Like everything else going on right now, corporations have their own misinformation (let's call it what it is, lying) campaign that using less pesticides would contribute to the global climate crisis. While the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is putting up a front to address the pesticide problem, it is a partner with the same cabal that corporations are tied to. In the EPA's interest to protect corporations, the whole federal government is similarly involved, including the US Forest Service, but were finally forced to admit ecological damage from these products. Don't touch their products that destroy the land as that would in turn destroy their self-created markets that will fix it! And these corporations are not afraid to give dictates to the government. The corruption is so widespread a book has even been written about it. Thus the dichotomy. Corporations use destructive means to destroy the environment while claiming it adds to food production, and lay blame on climate change in order to enrich their own profits. Through the use of chemicals the soil is destroyed, wildlife movement through the chemically contaminated soil can spread it to other areas while being exposed to an overgrowth of invasive bacterium that cause disease and possibly eating the sprayed forage along the way, soil is being depleted of necessary nutrients for life, and the land then becomes a haven for disease. Wildlife loss is of no concern to them and warnings about the dangers of these products would logically be the same for wildlife. Could it be Elk are actually spreading the cause of the problem rather than the disease itself? Pesticides destroy soil microbiology. Why has this not been a focus as it has been in other prion studies? In Idaho County where CWD and EHD were found, there is a noxious weed problem with Yellow Starthistle. While biocontrol methods have been tried they aren't successful in controlling the problem and in addition to other areas in the state. chemical spraying is used, Glyphosate and Aminopyralid being the most effective. Oddly, cattle, sheep, and goat grazing are not used to address this weed problem. Cheatgrass is another noxious weed where Yellow Starthistle is found, and is controlled with spraying. Again, cattle grazing is not used to contain this weed. Corporations that produce these pesticides wield quite a bit of influence over the government. If IDFG were to challenge the use of pesticides as the causal factor in CWD and EHD, what wrath would they experience from these corporations? Would the idea of investigating this correlation be enough to bring threats of retaliation by the corporate world? Or are they under the same oppression as others have been when corporations are challenged? In order to save and protect Elk that are suffering from these diseases, IDFG must embark upon more studies into the correlation between spraying devastating chemicals and how it affects these animals. Pressure must be brought to bear on all agencies that use these practices until such time they study the cause and effect between pesticides and the health of wildlife. Contact your local IDFG Regional Office here and ask where comments can be made, or provide comments to any one of the IDFG Commissioners here. While this does not solve the problem pesticides cause in wildlife disease, it does give an indication that the corporate methodology is the same. Destroy something and blame it on climate change, then create the costly solution to fix it, while suppressing the ability to expose the truth. It cannot be denied the negative impact these chemicals have on both the land and in wildlife. Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are being implemented across the world, with Idaho being no exception in this scheme. and making its own contributions to SDG #2: Zero Hunger.
Idaho participates in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as the Food Stamp program, that provides the ability of low-income families to buy food through an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. This card only allows the purchase of "healthy" food that includes snacks, candy, cookies, etc. Like any other assistance program, certain eligibility criteria must be met. Along with some other criteria, to qualify the family must fall at or below the 130% poverty line, which in 2021 would give a family of four in Idaho approximately $648.00 a month in food benefits. In January 2023, 123,133 Idahoans, or 6.55%, participated in SNAP. "Undocumented" immigrants are not eligible for food stamps, and "documented immigrants can only receive food stamps benefits if they have resided within the United States for at least five years". However, "there are some exceptions for refugees, children, and individuals receiving asylum in the United States" which probably covers many who are pouring through the southern border right now. On top of this are other Idaho food programs such as Women, Infants, & Children (WIC), and the school lunch programs, both driven by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). There is also the USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) administered in eastern Idaho. The USDA is committed to Sustainable Development, another term used for Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030. The USDA spent $182.5 billion on food assistance in 2021, and the cost continues to escalate. Even though the USDA is a federal government program, it is "strategically placed in over 80 countries", spending over $1.6 billion through its "global hunger and food security initiative, Feed the Future", along with multiple other federal agencies. The "USDA supports global food security", that is, feeding everyone. That's right, the money Idahoans earn is going to feed not only Idahoans, but other countries as well that supports the UN World Food Programme. With the current skyrocketing food prices, SNAP benefits might not be enough to cover a full month's supply of food for a family of four, but there are other sources to obtain food. The Idaho Foodbank is one that provides a broad array of help to Idahoans, and are assisted by multiple corporations, some of which are World Economic Forum (WEF) partners such as Chobani, Bank of America, Walmart, Micron. and of course the United Way. It even has a map that can be used to locate food resources. Yet, in spite of these programs, there is the claim that hunger persists, not only in Idaho, but across the world. At the same time, in 2020, 66.3% of Idaho adults were considered overweight or obese, the obese rate of 31.1% coinciding with the 2022 CDC rate. Apparently, obesity is another crisis, is increasing, and interfering with the SDG. Who comprises the obese, those on food assistance programs, or those who can afford to buy their own food? Hunger persists yet there is a serious obesity problem? Perhaps it is because there is money to be made on obesity. Even with this obesity rate, the White House is committing $8 billion more to combat hunger, place more Americans on SNAP and other welfare programs, and advance corporatism. However, while the SDG Targets #2.1 and 2.2 are paid for by Idaho taxpayers, the remaining SDG #2 targets are also in progress. In short, to feed ten billions of people by 2050, the whole food system has to be transformed, including how we eat, how food systems operate, and what we eat. The WEF even believes "Fixing broken food systems will meet all SDGs." But there is a more nefarious agenda behind this system transformation: getting more people onto SNAP; integrating food with healthcare; and changing food standards, categories, and nutrition. Having more people on SNAP will make it easier to force the use of only certain food such as lab grown meat, fish, and coated fruit. Demonic agendas always start with the most vulnerable. In Idaho, the Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force program, with its multiple partners, including Idaho government agencies, achieves several of these transformations. One is to "increase SNAP participation", with the USDA paying states for some administrative costs to increase those numbers. It is following the lead of the White House. Another of its programs, the Food is Medicine scam, meets the goal of integrating food with healthcare, and is based on the idea of tying together what one eats with their healthcare. Food, kitchen supplies, dietary instruction, and education are written as a prescription for healthcare reasons and paid for by Medicaid. Both the USDA and White House have dumped money, that is your tax dollar, into this concept for experimentation and it is being tested in other states. The Task Force 2022 Year End Report has some interesting information with clear intentions to expand. What better way is there than a program like this to set the stage for tracking behavior, what someone eats, and how they comply. Maybe at some point if it is shown they are not complying their full access to healthcare benefits will be turned off, or maybe their access to food. Isn't that the point of having a digital identity, so everything we do can be tracked? Naturally, if tracking is involved, WEF thinks the idea is good and its corporate partners are already participating. More information on this Food is Medicine scam can be found here. There has been an increased emphasis for growing one's own food that is organic, avoiding processed food that contain potential poisons, and joining as a community to grow food. In light of world hunger and food shortages, the WEF also recommends Community gardens as part of 4thIR. The community garden concept is being spread throughout Idaho. Anything WEF promotes deserves intense scrutiny. Knowing its plan for dietary changes and how food is produced, why is it promoting growing one's own food? Not that community gardens are not a good idea, but what is the WEF's motivation? Or is this a solution to the "planned starvation" as Alex Newman suggests starting at the 4" mark. Knowing the dangers of how food is grown now by WEF partners, why is it steering people towards growing their own food? Its Food Systems Initiative will ensure that all food will affected in some way. Perhaps this whole issue is just another corporate game plan that follows the same steps. Create a problem (food "insecurity") that leads to more government dependency, produce food items that contribute to health problems (obesity), which boosts more health sector involvement for tracking, and from all of that, support an unhealthy food market that perpetuates the profit-making cycle. Round and round we go. Any mother understands that food is a powerful weapon and can be used to influence a child's behavior. Don't eat dinner, no dessert. Misbehave, go to bed without dinner. Behave well, get a treat. Food is one powerful weapon that can, and has been weaponized for control. The stage has been set for a very bumpy road ahead regarding food. In the meantime, Idaho is keeping its hungry fed, along with the rest of the world to meet SDG #2. The Rutherford Institute published an article by John & Nisha Whitehead titled "Traitor to the Constitution: The U.S. Government Is the Real Criminal" on June 14, 2023. This article accurately describes the sorry state our country is in, and why. Everyone should heed his words.
“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable.”—H.L. Mencken And so it continues. This entire fiasco—indicting Donald Trump for allegedly violating both the Espionage Act and obstructing justice by improperly handling classified records—is merely the latest in a never-ending series of distractions, distortions, and political theater aimed at diverting the public’s attention from the sinister advances of the American Deep State. Don’t allow yourselves to be distracted, diverted or mesmerized by the cheap theater tricks. This indictment spectacle is Shakespearean in its scope: full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Nothing is the key word here. Despite the wall-to-wall media coverage, this is all just smoke and mirrors. Mark my words: the government is as corrupt and self-serving as ever, dominated by two political factions that pretend to be at odds with each other all the while moving in lockstep to maintain the status quo. If you really want to talk about who’s guilty of treason, set your sights higher: indict the government for overstepping its authority, abusing its power, disregarding the rule of law, and betraying the American people. When we refer to the “rule of law,” that’s constitutional shorthand for the idea that everyone is treated the same under the law, everyone is held equally accountable to abiding by the law, and no one is given a free pass based on their politics, their connections, their wealth, their status or any other bright line test used to confer special treatment on the elite. When the government and its agents no longer respect the rule of law—the Constitution—or believe that it applies to them, then the very contract on which this relationship is based becomes invalid. This abuse of power has been going on for so long that it has become the norm, the Constitution be damned. There are hundreds—make that thousands—of government bureaucrats who are getting away with murder (in many cases, literally) simply because the legislatures, courts and the citizenry can’t be bothered to make them play by the rules of the Constitution. Unless something changes in the way we deal with these ongoing, egregious abuses of power, the predators of the police state will continue to wreak havoc on our freedoms, our communities, and our lives. For too long now, the American people have played politics with their principles and turned a blind eye to all manner of wrongdoing when it was politically expedient, allowing the government to wreak havoc with their freedoms and act in violation of the rule of law. “We the people” are paying the price for it now. We are paying the price every day that we allow the government to continue to wage its war on the American People, a war that is being fought on many fronts: with bullets and tasers, with surveillance cameras and license readers, with intimidation and propaganda, with court rulings and legislation, with the collusion of every bureaucrat who dances to the tune of corporate handouts while on the government’s payroll, and most effectively of all, with the complicity of the American people, who continue to allow themselves to be easily manipulated by their politics, distracted by their pastimes, and acclimated to a world in which government corruption is the norm. It’s the nature of the beast: power corrupts. Worse, as 19th-century historian Lord Acton concluded, absolute power corrupts absolutely. We’ve been losing our freedoms so incrementally for so long—sold to us in the name of national security and global peace, maintained by way of martial law disguised as law and order, and enforced by a standing army of militarized police and a political elite determined to maintain their powers at all costs—that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it all started going downhill, but we’re certainly on that downward trajectory now, and things are moving fast. The republic has fallen. The Deep State’s plot to take over America has succeeded. The American system of representative government has been overthrown by a profit-driven, militaristic, corporate oligarchy bent on total control and global domination through the imposition of martial law here at home and by fomenting wars abroad. Even now, we are being pushed and prodded towards a civil war, not because the American people are so divided but because that’s how corrupt governments control a populace (i.e., divide and conquer). These are dangerous times. These are indeed dangerous times but not because of violent crime or terrorism or illegal immigration. No, the real danger that we face comes from none other than the U.S. government and the powers it has granted to its standing armies to rob, steal, cheat, harass, detain, brutalize, terrorize, torture and kill American citizens with immunity. The danger “we the people” face comes from masked invaders on the government payroll who crash through our doors in the dark of night, shoot our dogs, and terrorize our families. This danger comes from militarized henchmen on the government payroll who demand absolute obedience, instill abject fear, and shoot first and ask questions later. This danger comes from greedy, power-hungry bureaucrats on the government payroll who have little to no understanding of their constitutional limits. This danger comes from greedy politicians and corporations for whom profit trumps principle. Consider, if you will, all of the dastardly, devious, diabolical, dangerous, debilitating, deceitful, dehumanizing, demonic, depraved, dishonorable, disillusioning, discriminatory, dictatorial schemes inflicted on “we the people” by a bureaucratic, totalitarian regime that has long since ceased to be “a government of the people, by the people and for the people.”
I haven’t even touched on the corporate state, the military industrial complex, SWAT team raids, invasive surveillance technology, zero tolerance policies in the schools, overcriminalization, or privatized prisons, to name just a few, but what I have touched on should be enough to show that the landscape of our freedoms has already changed dramatically from what it once was and will no doubt continue to deteriorate unless Americans can find a way to wrest back control of their government and reclaim their freedoms. Indictments, impeachments and elections will not save us. History may show that from this point forward, we will have left behind any semblance of constitutional government and entered into a totalitarian state where all citizens are suspects and security trumps freedom. Even with its constantly shifting terrain, this topsy-turvy travesty of law and government has become America’s new normal. From Clinton to Bush, then Obama to Trump and now Biden, it’s as if we’re caught in a time loop, forced to re-live the same thing over and over again: the same assaults on our freedoms, the same disregard for the rule of law, the same subservience to the Deep State, and the same corrupt, self-serving government that exists only to amass power, enrich its shareholders and ensure its continued domination. There can be no denying that the world is indeed a dangerous place, but it’s the government that poses the gravest threat to our freedoms and way of life, and no amount of politicking, parsing or pandering will change that. It is easy to be diverted, distracted and amused by political circuses and entertainment spectacles. What is far more difficult to face up to is the reality of life in America, where “we the people” are at a distinct disadvantage in the face of the government elite’s power grabs, greed and firepower. The Constitution doesn’t stand a chance against a federalized, globalized standing army protected by legislative, judicial and executive branches that are all on the same side. As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, no matter what political views they subscribe to: suffice it to say, they are not on our side or the side of freedom. That is the real betrayal. It is often difficult to explain something that doesn't make sense in a way that it does make sense. Starting with the foundation of the insanity may be the place to start. It was previously revealed that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) adheres to international standards for conservation. Although "fragmentation" and "habitat" are frequently referenced in the Upper Snake East Travel Management Plan Draft Environmental Assessment in relation to multiple different types of species, the word connectivity isn't really prominent. One purpose of moving and decreasing the number of these trails is to repair fragmentation and restore land for connectivity. Habitat connectivity is the insane notion that because of human activity, roads, and development, habitat becomes fragmented. In other words, the land that maintains connectivity, corridors and stepping stones, is disrupted. In the graphic below, it is conceived that there must be a connection between patches in order to maintain connectivity. This habitat includes all ecological elements, including vegetation and wildlife. If damaged, that area must be restored in order to re-establish connectivity. Maintaining connectivity protects biodiversity, or so they say. The 2021 White House America the Beautiful initiative, which outlined its conservation goals, includes its 30x30 agenda, a plan to conserve 30% of land by 2030. Other than declaring more national monuments for banned use, it has taken two years until now to get going on this. However, it now appears the aggressive move is on for placing land into conservation. It is clear that using habitat connectivity is at the core of meeting the 30x30 goal.
In March 2023, the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) put out a memo that outlined the new requirement that all public land use planning must include connectivity. Maybe the Chair should have checked with the BLM, as it had already instituted this policy in November, 2022. Somehow, the BLM sees "“wildlife and fish” as one of the resources expressly included in the definition of “multiple use” (Section 103(c)" in the Federal Land Management & Policy Act (FLPMA), and justifying its use for connectivity. BLM land must now be evaluated to determine "if existing land use plan decisions are (or are not) restoring, maintaining, improving, and/or conserving areas of habitat connectivity" and "incorporate areas of habitat connectivity". From that, the land use will be planned around habitat connectivity, which plays into where and why trails are being moved and reduced, as this policy includes "Travel management implementation". The Center for Large Landscape Conservation (CLLC) and Network for Landscape Conservation (NLC) are two organizations ready to jump on this as connectivity is their heart. As the name implies, the NLC is a network of environmental groups as well as government agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service. In February, 2023 it held a webinar that discussed "Insights into the new Global Biodiversity Framework" (GBF) that came out of COP 15, held in December, 2022. Also attending COP 15 were officials from the Biden, State, and USAID departments. Even though the U.S. is not a signatory of the Convention on Biological Diversity, it is an "observer" to support the GBF, its outcomes in America, and its 30x30 agenda. The CEQ Chair, the one who can't keep dates straight, was also present, lending her support and commitment to the GBF. The GBF also meets the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Along with CLLC celebrating this framework, both of these two organizations have had direct influence on government policies on integrating habitat and wildlife connectivity into federal planning and decisions. The White House Council on Environmental Quality issued guidelines that "incorporate the objectives in this guidance into agency actions". Travel Management Plans are one area where this connectivity agenda is being used. There are four GBF goals. Goal A focuses on "the integrity, connectivity and resilience of all ecosystems are maintained, enhanced, or restored". Within these 4 goals are 23 targets to be met by 2030. This is the core of 30x30, using biodiversity to take land for conservation as outlined in Target 2. The America the Beautiful 30x30 agenda originates from Target 3 which ensures the conservation of 30% of the land and inland waters. Target 4 calls for "management actions to halt human induced extinction of known threatened species and for the recovery and conservation of species". Target 14 ensures "the full integration of biodiversity and its multiple values into policies, regulations, planning and development processes" which are being implemented through the BLM. Following COP 15 in March 2023, the White House Council on Environmental Quality issued guidelines "for ecological connectivity and wildlife corridors" that "incorporate the objectives in this guidance into agency actions". Travel Management Plans are not the only area where this connectivity agenda will be used. In a NLC webinar, as attendees to COP 15, it was discussed how the GBF is part of the America the Beautiful 30x30 agenda, and as a U.S. observer, it will help to implement GBF objectives. Indigenous rights were also heavily emphasized. Not surprisingly, it was also revealed that about 2,000 corporations were present at COP 15 to develop markets for this agenda, Nature Action 100 being one of them. Like the proposed conservation leasing, public land is being monetized, not for our right to use the land, but to conserve it for the purposes of making money for the government. The Department of Interior (DOI) also held its own little party in March of this year, celebrating its conservation agenda, even with Biden in attendance, who gave kudos to Rep. Mike Simpson "to bring healthy and abundant salmon runs back to the Colorado [Columbia] River system." (This is in reference to Simpson wanting to remove dams. Parenthesis is to fix Biden's gaffe. His remarks begin at the 37" mark in the video). Nice to know we have an Idaho representative enmeshed with a president and not the people. Biden even referenced running roughshod over private land for this agenda. In the video of the DOI event, there were multiple Native American speakers and again, a very heavy emphasis on Indigenous rights. At the 11:25 mark, CEQ Chair Brenda Mallory, a COP 15 attendee, spoke. She mentioned the same, connecting habitat across private land, infusing equity and justice into the use of land, and was excited the president could do all of this by just using his pen. So, the upshot is that public land agencies will be integrating connectivity into all land planning, resulting in a reduction of land use for the protection of biodiversity, as outlined by organizations in which these agencies have made international agreements. Also on the horizon, these agencies are looking to monetize this work, making the land a money-making machine for them. Who then will control how the land is used? Be on the lookout for GBF implementation on BLM and other public land in your area. Land use planning is now about connectivity and eliminating the use of land. Understand your enemy. Watch the videos. These directives are not based on the law. It is nearly impossible to find any government agency that is not tied in with corporations, foreign governments, environmental and other radical non-profit groups, and despotic organizations such as the UN. The U.S. has not followed the Constitution for decades. Until this is realized by all, and choose to do something about it, we will fail in getting our country back. While this information is about southeast Idaho, the issue is relevant for all Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land throughout Idaho. In March 2023, the BLM released its Upper Snake East Travel Management Plan Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) that affects Fremont, Teton, Bonneville, Madison, Jefferson, Bingham, Power, and Clark Counties. The plan "proposes a network of designated routes and trails for managing travel" in these areas that includes "highway vehicles (low-7 clearance sedans and trucks), off-highway vehicles (OHVs), motorcycles, utility terrain vehicles (UTVs), all terrain vehicles (ATVs), snowmobiles, bicycles, e-bikes, equestrian, and foot travel." What it really means is that these modes of transportation are being targeted for a reduction, and in some cases, full elimination, for use on public land. The basic gist of this BLM plan is to take current trails, remove them from use for restorative work, and then build new trails that will be reduced in number, or have more restricted use.
Yes, it is back to the old adage that humans are destroying the environment and need to be banned from using it. Environmental damage claims include loss of biodiversity from compacted trails, wildlife "harassment", excessive noise, and watershed disturbance. In the four alternatives, the description of OHV use is broken down into Open, Limited, and Closed (pg 16). A breakdown of alternatives in Appendix F (pgs F7-F13) includes A, which is continued use with no changes; Alternative B, which is closed to all activity; Alternative C, which is limited use; and Alternative D, which is Open, meaning year round use. Alternatives have also been classified with an Emphasis, covered on pages 108-109. These are all compared to Alternative A, which is no change, regarding reduction in use. Alternative B has a Natural Resource Emphasis (pg 37) which, as an example, includes decommissioning trails for reclamation, then constructing new trails that have no motorized use. Multiple Use Emphasis is Alternative C (pg 39), which ironically goes on to describe the reduction of use. Alternative D is an Access Emphasis (pg 41), which similarly describes how much reduction there would be for use. Throughout the document, there are multiple charts detailing the impact of how the land is damaged and can be improved, what species are affected, and how this plan with its different alternatives will protect everything. This information contained here is only a very limited summary of the plan. Bottom line, this is nothing more than an attack against OHV and non-OHV use (pg 112) on public lands, and that is clearly blatant as outlined in Appendix C. And just where does the BLM get its authority to do any of this? As responsible, accountable government employees, all of their authority and right to make these changes are listed in the plan itself. But the truth is, there is no law for what the BLM is doing, and (c)"Authorization means any...determination, or other administrative decision issued by an agency that is required or authorized under Federal law in order to implement a proposed action." Starting with Appendix D(D-1), Policies, Statutes, and Guidance, the first policy cited is 43 CFR Part 8340: Off-Road Vehicles. CFR stands for Code of Federal Regulations, the government rules published in the Federal Register that are supposed to reflect the intent of laws passed by Congress. So the BLM is basically saying its own rules gives it authority to do what it is doing in the plan, because there is no law to cite. Going back to 43 CFR Part 8340, it states one authority for this rule is E.O. 11644. Well, this E.O. (Executive Order) was created in 1972 by President Nixon, it was never a law. He created this to "establish policies and provide for procedures that will ensure that the use of off-road vehicles on public lands will be controlled and directed", and in "furtherance of the purpose and policy of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 (42 U.S.C. 4321)". The second cited authority is E.O. 11989 by President Carter in 1977, which basically excluded the military and law enforcement from these rules, but also dictated that OHV use causing "considerable adverse effects on the soil, vegetation, wildlife, wildlife habitat or cultural or historic resources of particular areas or trails of the public lands, immediately close such areas or trails to the type of off-road vehicle". So Mr. Dictator Carter made up his own law to close areas that the BLM is using in part to justify its actions while modifying NEPA. "The United States Constitution permits federal agencies to promulgate rules to enable Congress’ legislation", not executive orders. “The President’s power to see that the laws are faithfully executed refutes the idea that he is to be a lawmaker,” Justice Hugo Black said in the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. v. Sawyer case with regard to executive orders. Clearly, the E.O.s by Nixon and Carter were creating laws regarding OHV use on public land. Several legitimate laws are cited as the authority for 43 CFR Part 8340, that is laws that support the rule, including the Federal Land Policy & Management Act (FLPMA), but none of those laws address OHV use. FLPMA instead states that lands (8) "will provide for outdoor recreation and human occupancy and use". The draconian OHV rules in the plan clearly violate (7) "goals and objectives be established by law" because there is no law on OHV use, but there is for the establishment of trails. Does the BLM even understand there is no OHV law to follow for this plan? While 16 U.S. Code § 1531 is also cited as an authority in the CFR, nowhere does it state that public use can be limited or banned. Take note of (a)(4), which states "the United States has pledged itself as a sovereign state in the international community" and to "maintain conservation programs which meet national and international standards is a key to meeting the Nation’s international commitments". More to come on that. 16 U.S. Code § 1281 is worth reading, and 16 U.S.C. 1241 says to "encourage and assist volunteer citizen involvement in the planning, development, maintenance, and management, where appropriate, of trails", Were any OHV or non-OHV users, or any county citizens for that matter, involved in the development of this plan? Appendix A, References (A1-A5), primarily uses only government data, which may be a violation of the Data Quality Act. Has the BLM looked beyond its own data for other studies? For example, the plan states, "It is highly likely that recreation visitor numbers in the TMA would continue to increase in the future. A travel route network that provides for a wide variety of structured motorized and non-motorized opportunities and experiences is more apt to reduce user inclination to travel off-route. This can provide for increased user compliance with route designations which helps to minimize OHV use-related damage to unique and sensitive natural and cultural resources. A travel network that closes and reclaims more routes to year-round OHV use would provide for higher quality recreation experiences for non-motorized users than a network that designates more routes as open to OHV use (pg 113)". Just how does the BLM know this, did they do a study that proves any of these opinions? Is the BLM clairvoyant or does it have a crystal ball? Even its own 2007 report on OHV use said research was lacking (pg 56). Know the law, it can be your best friend. Now, this plan isn't just a sudden development to take land use away, it has been in the works for awhile as it has been on hold since 2016. On March 23, 2023, the White House announced its intent to dump $2.1 billion into land conservation. Specifically, Strengthening the Stewardship of America’s Public Lands was assigned to the BLM to seek input on a new rule to "modernize" strategies for managing the land. Amazing how this plan and the announcement came out at the exact same time. So how did anyone know to be working on this? Well... In November 2021, the Department of the Interior joined land managers from around the globe and endorsed a Protected and Conserved Areas Joint Statement on Climate Change and Biodiversity Crisis, which was submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP26 and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) COP15. Along with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), signers included the BLM, National Park Service, US Bureau of Reclamation, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and US Forest Service. All of their signatures can be seen here, on pages 5-7, along with the other foreigners. So even though the law states the U.S. is a sovereign state, the traitors at the head of these agencies are committed to meeting "international commitments". No surprise given the current incompetent person running the Department of Interior. This land protection scam is only going to get worse, every species in existence on God's green earth will eventually be scooped up. The global standard for management is already in place (Criterion 3.1) with "an indication of the activities that are allowed or prohibited" and "Where use and access are permitted" (Criterion 3.6). And they are all in on the 30x30 agenda, which is well understood by California OHV users. So, it's okay to tear up the land for wind turbines that create noise that harasses wildlife and kills avian life, and solar panels that prevent vegetation growth and habitat, but not okay to use a trail. Maybe linking this plan to an international plot is a stretch. However, most Americans probably understand there are forces greater than their voice ruling everything. About 85 years ago, there were many who turned their souls over to a dictator and government, blindly following every dictate that was delivered to them. It seems the BLM has been drifting in a similar direction for some time. Maybe it is time to bring the BLM back into reality by confronting them with the laws they are not following and to whom they are accountable. For recreational areas like Island Park this plan would have a devastating economic impact. Maybe the BLM needs to go back to the drawing board and involve OHV groups to develop a plan, at least that is what the law requires.
