While this is about Boise, every Idahoan should be on the alert for it happening in their city.
The Boise City Council recently approved a massive change in the city's zoning codes that will "permit the inclusion of more housing units, diverse housing options, and an increase in mixed-use districts. This is called upzoning, and consequently, development along transit corridors will be denser, combining both residential and retail spaces", opening the door to more money. A copy of the 611 page Boise Zoning Code Adoption Draft can be found here. One group fighting this change is Reject Boise Upzone. Among many other concerns, issues they raise include a lack of citizen involvement in the decision, a resulting lack of affordable housing and reduction in lot sizes, increasing ADU sizes, and the fact that "2 of 6 council members were not elected by public vote". Resources for other information can be found on their website. Traditional zoning codes are now perceived as exclusionary, damage equity, inhibit growth, and should be eliminated. There is also some thought that these codes perpetuate segregation and hinder sustainable development. Changing these codes addresses equity in every way possible. There is truth to this. Why should a person who works their arse off to better their lives be allowed to have property that isn't made available to others? Some think changes in zoning codes don't go far enough. After all, housing is a human right. So what is upzoning? Simply put, it is "changing the zoning code to allow taller and/or denser buildings", thereby creating more development. But it isn't just building size and numbers, it goes much farther with a drastic reduction in single housing lots and size, increased accessory dwelling units (ADU), reduced car use, and increased mass transportation with more walking and biking. Somehow, this is supposed to create social justice, equality, and protect the environment. These zoning changes are also typically built near mass transportation to move all those extra people around, and "promote inclusionary growth". ADUs can be built on existing single family lots. An addition can be added to the house, the space above a garage converted to an apartment, or a separate unit on the lot can be used for rent. Or a home can be split in half creating a rental unit. The whole purpose is to increase the number of people living on one lot, providing more housing "affordability", options, equity, and inclusion, and protect the environment from less car use. From where does all of this nonsense originate? The 1968 Fair Housing Act barred discriminatory practices regarding housing. In 2015, the then president decided to create some new rules to "combat segregation and wide-spread discrimination in neighborhoods". Basically, these rules began surveillance of housing to identify "patterns of integration and segregation, racially and ethnically concentrated areas of poverty, disproportionate housing needs, and disparities in access to opportunity.” In 2020, President Trump rescinded this rule. As soon as the current administration came into office, the rule was reinstated and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reinstated it in 2021. This brings the requirement of ensuring cities have a blend of housing that meets the needs of all, including workforce housing for the influx of migrants. None of these rules fall under any congressional law. The theory: It isn't perceived as fair that lower income populations are not allowed to live in wealthier areas. Single family homes are hoarded by the wealthy so development in those areas should be mixed with lower income populations, and minority integration for inclusion, equity, and social justice. Tucked inside this debacle was the idea of loosening zoning regulations to increase housing availability. Like any other fad, or agenda in this case, the idea flourished and has already been executed in places such as Seattle, New York, and Oregon in spite of evidence that it does not increase affordability. There is also the issue of gentrification, which is the influx of the wealthy "white" into poor areas to renovate homes or businesses, increasing property values, but not housing supply. This whole agenda is a rehash for high density, compact, and mixed-use housing, but now it is invading private property rights, based on the fallacy of racism while pursuing social justice and social engineering objectives. How will a neighbor's decision to build an ADU affect your property value? Or having a ten story high rise apartment complex built next to your single family lot? This Brookings article covers some upzoning issues. It is also a step closer to the 15 minute city concept. Housing and the homeless have been a focus of Boise Mayor Lauren McLean. The most current data shows there are 687 people "without housing" in Boise, 101 of those without shelter. She supports the notion of preventing eviction, paying people's rent, and "increasing affordable units". In 2022, McLean joined House America with other mayors, in exchange for federal goodies to create more housing that feeds right into the mortgage industry, and may bring an opportunity to pursue more money for spending on her pet project as she already has. While background information on Ms. McLean is fluffy and Boise oriented, and she preaches her love of Boise ad nauseam, the truth is she is far more involved in activities and groups that are distant from Boise, and Idaho for that matter. Along with Rep. Ilana Rubel and many national figures with whom she can hobnob, Ms. McLean is one of the NewDEAL leaders, "who are pro-growth progressives" that are just full of ideas. The Mayors Institute on City Design (MICD), "a leadership initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts", guides Ms. McLean towards transforming Boise towards big city projects. The American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) gives Ms. McLean an opportunity to learn about China for a global perspective. Wonder if she understands "the people who gave their lives for China" were actually murdered along with many, many others. As a Notre Dame graduate, she is gutting the very place she believes is "so special". Having a degree in environmental policy, Ms. McLean is very much an environmentalist, being responsible for building a wall of no growth around Boise so the city can be more compacted and congested with people. She also supports the America the Beautiful 30x30 plan, to conserve 30% of land by 2030. In this interview, she discusses how she has moved Boise towards that goal by planting trees, having full support of residents, and fluffing over the source of her climate objectives. But, she ain't telling the whole story of what she is really doing. America Is All In, led by Michael Bloomberg as appointed by the United Nations Special Envoy on Climate Ambition and Solutions, is an organization that supports climate action, and in which Ms. McLean belongs. She has set a target for city government to be carbon neutral by 2035, and the community with a target of 2050. The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) "share a long-term vision to combat climate change". A regional partner with this organization is the Climate Mayors of which Ms. McLean is a member and participant. As part of the Climate Mayors, she signed a letter committing to "adopt, honor and uphold Paris Climate Agreement goals" and was recently assigned to a steering committee to "strengthen city climate action". As a side note, GCoM is a participant with the World Economic Forum (WEF). Being carbon neutral by 2050 is a WEF goal, and her "100% “clean” energy by 2030" goal also belongs to the WEF. Her upzoning plan comes straight out of the objectives in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, while the WEF sees ADUs as one way to alleviate the housing crisis. Her playbook for WEF housing begins on page 18. Another GCoM partner is C40 Cities which has an Urban Planning agenda for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that promotes development in transit-oriented locations with an emphasis on affordable housing, and works toward a model of compact communities and 15 minute cities. Along with Climate Mayors they have a guidebook on how to spend money for these climate actions. In an effort to appear loyal to America, Ms. McLean is a member of the United States Conference of Mayors, where she can bring information back from the global elite to contaminate the minds of other mayors under its Alliance for a Sustainable Future, climate program, and MICD in which she is involved. Ms. McLean's agenda and associations with deep pockets doesn't go unnoticed by those paying attention. As a Democrat she has no qualms about using taxpayer money to grow the government for her agenda and "transform" it into being more equitable. For sure, she is using the WEF roadmap for Boise's climate action plan. The WEF vision is her vision, and mission. That's right, Ms. McLean is taking Boise down the WEF Great Reset path that will end up being a smart city or a 15 minute city design. There will be no escape as cars will no longer be available for escaping. Thanks to Ms. McLean, representing Boise citizens, and how they want their city to look and progress, has been taken over by outside organizations. Ms. McLean is bringing all of the WEF miasma and totalitarian objectives to Boise citizens that will also have an impact on surrounding cities. The goal has always been to infiltrate local governments with Agenda 21 objectives, and this is how the Great Reset gets integrated at a local level. That must be what the majority wants, as they elected Ms. McLean.

Tremendous dichotomies exist with land management. Money pours in for forest fire prevention while at the same time forests are allowed to become burdened with fuel loads that only act as incinerators. "We let forests burn" is an insane ideology. Fires destroy the habitat environmentalists crusade to protect. The introduction of wolves has resulted in the loss of wildlife, one issue environmentalists champion for protection. Renewable energy is one of the most damaging to the environment under the guise of protecting it. One doozy of a dichotomy exists with Elk and Deer. Are potential causes of disease in these majestic animals being ignored or dismissed for a reason?
Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a fatal disease affecting Elk, Deer, Moose, and other wildlife, where the animal experiences neurological deterioration. It first appeared at Slate Creek in Idaho County, November 2021. Idaho Fish & Game (IDFG) claims CWD is a Prion disease, a malformed protein that enters the brain, with no understanding of "how it is spread". But the actions they are taking to minimize the spread, which speak louder than their words, suggest they believe it is spread by direct contact. The animal eventually wastes away from a poor immune response, starvation, and weakness. IDFG focuses on minimizing its spread and developed a strategy in 2021 that includes surveillance and monitoring with the help of hunters, along with "cutting deer density to reduce CWD risk". . Elk Hoof Disease (EHD) was also discovered in Idaho County in 2018. This disease is blamed on a Treponema spirochete bacterium that is suspected to cause hoof abnormalities and lameness in elk, leading to poor health and death. It was recently discovered that it is spread by "exposure to soil contaminated with hooves from affected elk". Drawing this conclusion, however, is problematic as this study gave limited consideration to other soil or environmental factors, failed to use pesticide contaminated soil, artificially created a condition with an overabundance of a pathogen, and wrapped the Elk's hooves in inoculation, creating an environment that would not be found on Elk in the wild. This map shows where EHD has been discovered in the Pacific Northwest. While Prion and Treponema have nothing to do with each other, what IDFG is failing to consider is soil health and how that may be contributing to the spread of both diseases. Why would they ignore that possibility? Idaho has a Noxious Weed program for invasive species in which IDFG participates because of its invasion into Elk forage. Biological treatment is emphasized for elimination of these weeds however, "chemical treatment is the most common option where feasible". IDFG, however, is rather secretive about what chemicals they use. The US Forest Service also has a Pesticide Management program that does not identify what chemicals are used. Commonly used pesticide agents include Glyphosate, Atrazine, 2,4-D, and Milestone. It is well known that these chemicals destroy everything in their path and have toxic effects to humans. One hypothesis is that these chemicals also cause EHD. Atrazine is particularly devastating to the immune system. Other contributing pesticides to EHD and CWD are Sulfonylurea and Diuron as both can inhibit microbial activity in the soil. Overall, these chemicals not only destroy Elk forage, they also have a damaging effect on soil health. While many variables determine how long pesticides remain in the soil, they can persist up to a decade. Manganese is "an essential human dietary element" found in soil and plants. Manganese deficiency can lead to gut and immune dysfunction, and has a relationship to Prion disease. Studies have shown that Glyphosate depletes Manganese in plants. Selenium, another trace element in soil necessary for plant development, is also dependent on soil microorganisms and cannot be easily applied to soil. Its depletion in soil has also been associated with deteriorating animal health by disrupting a healthy immune system, again suggestive of CWD, and in hoof deformities. Chemical spraying, and its adverse impact on soil, does appear to be a common source for both diseases, yet it has not been adequately researched. At hand is the lack of consideration that pesticides not only kill noxious weeds, but also destroy living organisms in the soil that maintains its health. In fact, the same corporations that produce pesticides are touting their investments in soil health, while claiming that poor soil health is from climate change. But the truth is they destroy the soil in order to put forward profit making solutions. To the rescue is lucrative corporate markets that create products to fix the problems they create. Corporations have even hijacked associations to advance their cause. Syngenta products include herbicides, and through its Biologicals, and its partner Valagro, sells products to fix the damage they cause as part of its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Brexil Combi, made by Valagro, contains a Manganese replacement. Monsanto, producer of Glysophate products, was bought by Bayer in 2016. As was Monsanto, both Syngenta and Bayer are World Economic Forum (WEF) partners. Along with its government pals, Bayer has declared Glyphosate as safe, in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Bayer also blames climate change and loss of biodiversity as a problem while having several products that actually destroy biodiversity, and is being fined for its false safety claims. Corteva, a descendant of DuPont, produces Milestone. Called Aminopyralid, it is a pesticide that tends to remain in the soil and carry over and damage new growth. Could ruined soil be the planned precursor to invest in "microbial-based solutions", or completely revamp soil composition, all the while messing around with RNA genetics and engineering soil microorganisms? Like everything else going on right now, corporations have their own misinformation (let's call it what it is, lying) campaign that using less pesticides would contribute to the global climate crisis. While the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is putting up a front to address the pesticide problem, it is a partner with the same cabal that corporations are tied to. In the EPA's interest to protect corporations, the whole federal government is similarly involved, including the US Forest Service, but were finally forced to admit ecological damage from these products. Don't touch their products that destroy the land as that would in turn destroy their self-created markets that will fix it! And these corporations are not afraid to give dictates to the government. The corruption is so widespread a book has even been written about it. Thus the dichotomy. Corporations use destructive means to destroy the environment while claiming it adds to food production, and lay blame on climate change in order to enrich their own profits. Through the use of chemicals the soil is destroyed, wildlife movement through the chemically contaminated soil can spread it to other areas while being exposed to an overgrowth of invasive bacterium that cause disease and possibly eating the sprayed forage along the way, soil is being depleted of necessary nutrients for life, and the land then becomes a haven for disease. Wildlife loss is of no concern to them and warnings about the dangers of these products would logically be the same for wildlife. Could it be Elk are actually spreading the cause of the problem rather than the disease itself? Pesticides destroy soil microbiology. Why has this not been a focus as it has been in other prion studies? In Idaho County where CWD and EHD were found, there is a noxious weed problem with Yellow Starthistle. While biocontrol methods have been tried they aren't successful in controlling the problem and in addition to other areas in the state. chemical spraying is used, Glyphosate and Aminopyralid being the most effective. Oddly, cattle, sheep, and goat grazing are not used to address this weed problem. Cheatgrass is another noxious weed where Yellow Starthistle is found, and is controlled with spraying. Again, cattle grazing is not used to contain this weed. Corporations that produce these pesticides wield quite a bit of influence over the government. If IDFG were to challenge the use of pesticides as the causal factor in CWD and EHD, what wrath would they experience from these corporations? Would the idea of investigating this correlation be enough to bring threats of retaliation by the corporate world? Or are they under the same oppression as others have been when corporations are challenged? In order to save and protect Elk that are suffering from these diseases, IDFG must embark upon more studies into the correlation between spraying devastating chemicals and how it affects these animals. Pressure must be brought to bear on all agencies that use these practices until such time they study the cause and effect between pesticides and the health of wildlife. Contact your local IDFG Regional Office here and ask where comments can be made, or provide comments to any one of the IDFG Commissioners here. While this does not solve the problem pesticides cause in wildlife disease, it does give an indication that the corporate methodology is the same. Destroy something and blame it on climate change, then create the costly solution to fix it, while suppressing the ability to expose the truth. It cannot be denied the negative impact these chemicals have on both the land and in wildlife. This information is several years old but confirms the agenda. A High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation was created by the United Nations (UN) in July, 2018. This was only intended for businesses, governments, and academia. What is meant by civil society is only by their determination. A video explains what is meant by digital cooperation and being a digital "citizen". Appallingly, it was stated that "the future is being created". No self determination in that statement. Melina Gates has it all figured out. "Technologies can create the world we want, a more just and humane world", that requires "diverse points of view". She means the points of view whom she selects. Limitations at the time of this discussion was having no governance structure to achieve this goal. Ms. Gates thinks digital services will help a woman "save a dollar a day". And what is stopping that woman now? At least it was openly admitted that digitalization is needed for globalization. She also discussed manipulating women into using the internet in order to make them digital "literate", and had no qualms about convincing a husband that it is ok for his wife to have access to the internet, or later on stating with the internet she will no longer have to "negotiate" with her husband. For all the claims of being respectful of cultures, it is obvious there is no regard or respect for cultural norms. The nefarious aspects of the internet were not discussed such as tracking through digital identity. Making money and having a business was the main theme underlying this panel discussion. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was also expressing that the internet is needed to solve social problems like hate speech. Translated this means censorship. Guess he never considered that there will always be evil in the world and he can't censor his way out of it. Maybe he isn't familiar with WWII and why that was fought, or maybe he naively thinks the internet could have prevented it. Another brilliant statement by billionaire Jack Ma is that in order to avoid negative aspects of technology we must build "smart policies". Say what? A gap in intelligence exposed. Guterres supported this delusion by saying we need "smart" regulations. Another gap exposed. Gates let the cat out of the bag by reporting that someone who is unable to provide information on their credit can easily be checked by tracking that information on their phone. Now there's a comforting thought. She also reassured us that care is being taken to protect our data. Guterres reaffirmed that there should be care taken so there is no "concentration of power". Apparently, this does no apply to the UN, World Economic Forum (WEF), or corporations. Sadly, Idaho is taking great steps to put more Idahoans into this internet trap. Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are being implemented across the world, with Idaho being no exception in this scheme. and making its own contributions to SDG #2: Zero Hunger.
Idaho participates in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as the Food Stamp program, that provides the ability of low-income families to buy food through an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. This card only allows the purchase of "healthy" food that includes snacks, candy, cookies, etc. Like any other assistance program, certain eligibility criteria must be met. Along with some other criteria, to qualify the family must fall at or below the 130% poverty line, which in 2021 would give a family of four in Idaho approximately $648.00 a month in food benefits. In January 2023, 123,133 Idahoans, or 6.55%, participated in SNAP. "Undocumented" immigrants are not eligible for food stamps, and "documented immigrants can only receive food stamps benefits if they have resided within the United States for at least five years". However, "there are some exceptions for refugees, children, and individuals receiving asylum in the United States" which probably covers many who are pouring through the southern border right now. On top of this are other Idaho food programs such as Women, Infants, & Children (WIC), and the school lunch programs, both driven by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). There is also the USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) administered in eastern Idaho. The USDA is committed to Sustainable Development, another term used for Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030. The USDA spent $182.5 billion on food assistance in 2021, and the cost continues to escalate. Even though the USDA is a federal government program, it is "strategically placed in over 80 countries", spending over $1.6 billion through its "global hunger and food security initiative, Feed the Future", along with multiple other federal agencies. The "USDA supports global food security", that is, feeding everyone. That's right, the money Idahoans earn is going to feed not only Idahoans, but other countries as well that supports the UN World Food Programme. With the current skyrocketing food prices, SNAP benefits might not be enough to cover a full month's supply of food for a family of four, but there are other sources to obtain food. The Idaho Foodbank is one that provides a broad array of help to Idahoans, and are assisted by multiple corporations, some of which are World Economic Forum (WEF) partners such as Chobani, Bank of America, Walmart, Micron. and of course the United Way. It even has a map that can be used to locate food resources. Yet, in spite of these programs, there is the claim that hunger persists, not only in Idaho, but across the world. At the same time, in 2020, 66.3% of Idaho adults were considered overweight or obese, the obese rate of 31.1% coinciding with the 2022 CDC rate. Apparently, obesity is another crisis, is increasing, and interfering with the SDG. Who comprises the obese, those on food assistance programs, or those who can afford to buy their own food? Hunger persists yet there is a serious obesity problem? Perhaps it is because there is money to be made on obesity. Even with this obesity rate, the White House is committing $8 billion more to combat hunger, place more Americans on SNAP and other welfare programs, and advance corporatism. However, while the SDG Targets #2.1 and 2.2 are paid for by Idaho taxpayers, the remaining SDG #2 targets are also in progress. In short, to feed ten billions of people by 2050, the whole food system has to be transformed, including how we eat, how food systems operate, and what we eat. The WEF even believes "Fixing broken food systems will meet all SDGs." But there is a more nefarious agenda behind this system transformation: getting more people onto SNAP; integrating food with healthcare; and changing food standards, categories, and nutrition. Having more people on SNAP will make it easier to force the use of only certain food such as lab grown meat, fish, and coated fruit. Demonic agendas always start with the most vulnerable. In Idaho, the Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force program, with its multiple partners, including Idaho government agencies, achieves several of these transformations. One is to "increase SNAP participation", with the USDA paying states for some administrative costs to increase those numbers. It is following the lead of the White House. Another of its programs, the Food is Medicine scam, meets the goal of integrating food with healthcare, and is based on the idea of tying together what one eats with their healthcare. Food, kitchen supplies, dietary instruction, and education are written as a prescription for healthcare reasons and paid for by Medicaid. Both the USDA and White House have dumped money, that is your tax dollar, into this concept for experimentation and it is being tested in other states. The Task Force 2022 Year End Report has some interesting information with clear intentions to expand. What better way is there than a program like this to set the stage for tracking behavior, what someone eats, and how they comply. Maybe at some point if it is shown they are not complying their full access to healthcare benefits will be turned off, or maybe their access to food. Isn't that the point of having a digital identity, so everything we do can be tracked? Naturally, if tracking is involved, WEF thinks the idea is good and its corporate partners are already participating. More information on this Food is Medicine scam can be found here. There has been an increased emphasis for growing one's own food that is organic, avoiding processed food that contain potential poisons, and joining as a community to grow food. In light of world hunger and food shortages, the WEF also recommends Community gardens as part of 4thIR. The community garden concept is being spread throughout Idaho. Anything WEF promotes deserves intense scrutiny. Knowing its plan for dietary changes and how food is produced, why is it promoting growing one's own food? Not that community gardens are not a good idea, but what is the WEF's motivation? Or is this a solution to the "planned starvation" as Alex Newman suggests starting at the 4" mark. Knowing the dangers of how food is grown now by WEF partners, why is it steering people towards growing their own food? Its Food Systems Initiative will ensure that all food will affected in some way. Perhaps this whole issue is just another corporate game plan that follows the same steps. Create a problem (food "insecurity") that leads to more government dependency, produce food items that contribute to health problems (obesity), which boosts more health sector involvement for tracking, and from all of that, support an unhealthy food market that perpetuates the profit-making cycle. Round and round we go. Any mother understands that food is a powerful weapon and can be used to influence a child's behavior. Don't eat dinner, no dessert. Misbehave, go to bed without dinner. Behave well, get a treat. Food is one powerful weapon that can, and has been weaponized for control. The stage has been set for a very bumpy road ahead regarding food. In the meantime, Idaho is keeping its hungry fed, along with the rest of the world to meet SDG #2. The Rutherford Institute published an article by John & Nisha Whitehead titled "Traitor to the Constitution: The U.S. Government Is the Real Criminal" on June 14, 2023. This article accurately describes the sorry state our country is in, and why. Everyone should heed his words.
“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable.”—H.L. Mencken And so it continues. This entire fiasco—indicting Donald Trump for allegedly violating both the Espionage Act and obstructing justice by improperly handling classified records—is merely the latest in a never-ending series of distractions, distortions, and political theater aimed at diverting the public’s attention from the sinister advances of the American Deep State. Don’t allow yourselves to be distracted, diverted or mesmerized by the cheap theater tricks. This indictment spectacle is Shakespearean in its scope: full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Nothing is the key word here. Despite the wall-to-wall media coverage, this is all just smoke and mirrors. Mark my words: the government is as corrupt and self-serving as ever, dominated by two political factions that pretend to be at odds with each other all the while moving in lockstep to maintain the status quo. If you really want to talk about who’s guilty of treason, set your sights higher: indict the government for overstepping its authority, abusing its power, disregarding the rule of law, and betraying the American people. When we refer to the “rule of law,” that’s constitutional shorthand for the idea that everyone is treated the same under the law, everyone is held equally accountable to abiding by the law, and no one is given a free pass based on their politics, their connections, their wealth, their status or any other bright line test used to confer special treatment on the elite. When the government and its agents no longer respect the rule of law—the Constitution—or believe that it applies to them, then the very contract on which this relationship is based becomes invalid. This abuse of power has been going on for so long that it has become the norm, the Constitution be damned. There are hundreds—make that thousands—of government bureaucrats who are getting away with murder (in many cases, literally) simply because the legislatures, courts and the citizenry can’t be bothered to make them play by the rules of the Constitution. Unless something changes in the way we deal with these ongoing, egregious abuses of power, the predators of the police state will continue to wreak havoc on our freedoms, our communities, and our lives. For too long now, the American people have played politics with their principles and turned a blind eye to all manner of wrongdoing when it was politically expedient, allowing the government to wreak havoc with their freedoms and act in violation of the rule of law. “We the people” are paying the price for it now. We are paying the price every day that we allow the government to continue to wage its war on the American People, a war that is being fought on many fronts: with bullets and tasers, with surveillance cameras and license readers, with intimidation and propaganda, with court rulings and legislation, with the collusion of every bureaucrat who dances to the tune of corporate handouts while on the government’s payroll, and most effectively of all, with the complicity of the American people, who continue to allow themselves to be easily manipulated by their politics, distracted by their pastimes, and acclimated to a world in which government corruption is the norm. It’s the nature of the beast: power corrupts. Worse, as 19th-century historian Lord Acton concluded, absolute power corrupts absolutely. We’ve been losing our freedoms so incrementally for so long—sold to us in the name of national security and global peace, maintained by way of martial law disguised as law and order, and enforced by a standing army of militarized police and a political elite determined to maintain their powers at all costs—that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it all started going downhill, but we’re certainly on that downward trajectory now, and things are moving fast. The republic has fallen. The Deep State’s plot to take over America has succeeded. The American system of representative government has been overthrown by a profit-driven, militaristic, corporate oligarchy bent on total control and global domination through the imposition of martial law here at home and by fomenting wars abroad. Even now, we are being pushed and prodded towards a civil war, not because the American people are so divided but because that’s how corrupt governments control a populace (i.e., divide and conquer). These are dangerous times. These are indeed dangerous times but not because of violent crime or terrorism or illegal immigration. No, the real danger that we face comes from none other than the U.S. government and the powers it has granted to its standing armies to rob, steal, cheat, harass, detain, brutalize, terrorize, torture and kill American citizens with immunity. The danger “we the people” face comes from masked invaders on the government payroll who crash through our doors in the dark of night, shoot our dogs, and terrorize our families. This danger comes from militarized henchmen on the government payroll who demand absolute obedience, instill abject fear, and shoot first and ask questions later. This danger comes from greedy, power-hungry bureaucrats on the government payroll who have little to no understanding of their constitutional limits. This danger comes from greedy politicians and corporations for whom profit trumps principle. Consider, if you will, all of the dastardly, devious, diabolical, dangerous, debilitating, deceitful, dehumanizing, demonic, depraved, dishonorable, disillusioning, discriminatory, dictatorial schemes inflicted on “we the people” by a bureaucratic, totalitarian regime that has long since ceased to be “a government of the people, by the people and for the people.”
I haven’t even touched on the corporate state, the military industrial complex, SWAT team raids, invasive surveillance technology, zero tolerance policies in the schools, overcriminalization, or privatized prisons, to name just a few, but what I have touched on should be enough to show that the landscape of our freedoms has already changed dramatically from what it once was and will no doubt continue to deteriorate unless Americans can find a way to wrest back control of their government and reclaim their freedoms. Indictments, impeachments and elections will not save us. History may show that from this point forward, we will have left behind any semblance of constitutional government and entered into a totalitarian state where all citizens are suspects and security trumps freedom. Even with its constantly shifting terrain, this topsy-turvy travesty of law and government has become America’s new normal. From Clinton to Bush, then Obama to Trump and now Biden, it’s as if we’re caught in a time loop, forced to re-live the same thing over and over again: the same assaults on our freedoms, the same disregard for the rule of law, the same subservience to the Deep State, and the same corrupt, self-serving government that exists only to amass power, enrich its shareholders and ensure its continued domination. There can be no denying that the world is indeed a dangerous place, but it’s the government that poses the gravest threat to our freedoms and way of life, and no amount of politicking, parsing or pandering will change that. It is easy to be diverted, distracted and amused by political circuses and entertainment spectacles. What is far more difficult to face up to is the reality of life in America, where “we the people” are at a distinct disadvantage in the face of the government elite’s power grabs, greed and firepower. The Constitution doesn’t stand a chance against a federalized, globalized standing army protected by legislative, judicial and executive branches that are all on the same side. As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, no matter what political views they subscribe to: suffice it to say, they are not on our side or the side of freedom. That is the real betrayal. By now everyone is somewhat familiar with the dangers of smart cities and have heard about 15 minute cities. These versions of how everyone should live centers around technology and compacting humans in to small areas in order to save the planet. Supposedly. It is really about surveillance. Most people are also probably aware that these versions of how humans should live includes the importance of data collection on everything going on. Maybe much thought hasn't been given to exactly how that would work. Now, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has provided the technology that will accomplish this data gathering, surveillance contraption, the "smart lamppost". This lamppost has the capability of monitoring traffic, air quality, floods, and people. Plus, it is self powering and has the potential for offering 5G WiFi. It will even have the capacity to talk to people. In the U.S. these are already being used. A more quaint, or rather "elegant" version, is offered by Sansi. At least Sansi included the monitoring by Homeland Security, recording of activity, and its connection to the Internet of Things (IoT). It is so well built one can hardly ascertain that there is evil built into it. One thing not mentioned is just exactly where does all that gathered data go?
In Chicago a new concept is being installed, Array of Things (AoT). It "is an urban sensing project, a network of interactive, modular sensor boxes that will be installed...to collect real-time data on the city’s environment, infrastructure, and activity for research and public use." Whatever it takes to implement an effective and full surveillance system that can be applied to all cities. The World Economic Forum, through its Global Smart Cities Alliance on Technology Governance, has engaged Chattanooga, Pittsburgh, and San Jose to participate in pilot programs to develop policy roadmaps for smart cities. This policy framework can be used for implementation of smart cities more successfully and several other cities across the U.S. are involved in its network. But they never tell you exactly what or how they plan to change cites, just that it will be equitable, safe, and transparent. Smart lampposts are a given as part of a full surveillance state. Next time you take a nice morning walk, just remember to look for one of these lampposts. |
