Have you ever wondered about the power of advertising and the media? Agenda 21 knows its power.
Chapter 36, Promoting Education, Public Awareness and Training states: 36.10.e "Countries and the United Nations system should promote a cooperative relationship with the media, popular theatre groups, and entertainment and advertising industries by initiating discussions to mobilize their experience in shaping public behaviour and consumption patterns and making wide use of their methods."
The UN is using their business partnerships with the media, such as DirecTV, National Geographic, MTV, and CNN to shape public behavior. How are advertisements for NIKE, Coke, and HP being used to orient you to "global" thinking? What about advertisements in Readers Digest, Sports Illustrated, and National Geographic? When you stop and think about it all are being used to indoctrinate us to think globally, and in doing so may be reshaping behavior.
What about children and Common Core? Have you looked at your child's textbook and noticed the inclusion and references to celebrities or entertainment?
Pearson is a large provider of instructional material throughout the United States and is UN business partner. Here is a link to their Connections Learning. Pick a grade on the left and see how much Agenda 21 material you can find.
Agenda 21 has been very effective in their use of the media and entertainment to shape our behavior over the last 20 years. However, with Common Core you will hear about meeting the workforce needs of the future, and Agenda 21 came up with that.
Chapter 36, section 14 states;
"Countries with the support of the United Nations system should identify workforce training needs and assess measures to be taken to meet those needs."
Section 18 states;
"Countries should strengthen or establish practical training programmes for graduates from vocational schools, high schools and universities, in all countries, to enable them to meet labour market requirements..."
Common Core drastically expands data collection from the first entry into school through college. The labor workforce needs will direct your child's schooling to that need rather than encourage the child to identify their own career path.
We are on a dangerous path of control by another entity rather than by the principles on which America was founded and the media, entertainment, and education are all being used to shape our behavior. Join a group, get involved, and contact your representative, Governor Otter, and Tom Luna to voice your opposition to Common Core. And above all, monitor everything your child is learning in school.
