A bill was put forth by Rep. Paul Sheperd, Riggins, that would have restricted the unconstitutional mandates by the EPA. The Natural Resources and Conservation Committee killed it declaring that it was unconstitutional.
How can they be so dumb?
The United States Supreme Court has ruled on several occasions that a state cannot be compelled to adopt or implement any federal regulatory program. This very statement is taken from the Supreme Court decision on Printz v. United States, 521 U.S. 898 (1997)
"...the Federal Government may not compel the States to implement, by legislation or executive action, federal regulatory programs."
Is the EPA not a federal regulatory program that is being used to decimate our rights at every level with their environmental cause? This is the largest regulatory program, bypassing Congress and those individuals who are there to represent us, being used to promote Agenda 21 and whatever effort needs to be taken to take a stand and tell them we are NOT going to be compelled to implement their regulations should be taken.
Take note that several candidates running for office in Idaho include opting out of the EPA on their platform.
