What is the UN Global Compact? “At the UN Global Compact, we aim to mobilize a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create the world we want. That’s our vision.”
The Global Compact Mission is using corporations "to mobilize a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create the world we want. That’s our vision.” Ten principles, all derived from UN organizations, tell corporations how to run their business. The Global Compact requires corporations to "support UN goals". They also have a "guide" for "corporate sustainability". So the next time you see a business touting their sustainability or "social responsibility", you know they belong to the UN. If you would like to know which corporations currently belong to the Global Compact the list can be found here, over 13,000. Examples of US corporations who have sold out to the UN: Kimberly Clark, GAP, NIKE, Levi Strauss, Bristol-Myers, Eli Lilly, Merck, Coke, Pepsi, General Mills, and Campbells. Here is the full "Blueprint" corporations use to advance the UN in your life. Page 11 in the outlines the action plan to incorporate the UN goals and issues into their business. There was a time when a business was all American, a value you could trust, but those days are fading away. No longer will we see the pride of Made in the USA unless we make a conscience decision to not participate in any UN connected business and let them know we will not buy their product unless they disengage from the UN.
