Antiquities Act & Wilderness areas
The Antiquities Act has been used by Presidents over 100 years to take land away from states and declare that area as a National Monument. This is accomplished unilaterally, without the involvement or consent of Congress, the very individuals who are tasked with representing their constituents and state. In Idaho, Craters of the Moon and Hagerman Fossil Beds are National Monuments and under control of the federal government.
Through Congressional passage a Wilderness Area can also be declared, again being placed under federal control. Under the National Wilderness Preservation System (NWPS), declared wilderness areas are under 4 federal agencies. The current administration has even gone as far as entering into an international agreement, "On November 7, 2009, an agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico entitled the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation for Wilderness Conservation" was made." This is nothing more than furthering of Agenda 21 goals of forcing humans into settlements and taking over resources, plus globalizing our land.
Under the current administration efforts are being made again to take more land from Idaho for declaration as a wilderness area, the latest is the Boulder-White Clouds region. This is no surprise as Idaho has been working with the American Lands Council to take back control of Idaho land and this is one Idaho area that has been targeted.
Americans for Responsible Recreation Access (ARRA) is an organization working to protect the right of American citizens to have full access and use of our land. You can send an email to Secretary Jewell opposing any further land grabs in the state of Idaho. Contact your representative and let them know that Idaho wants state control of our land and oppose any efforts by this administration to take more Idaho land.
This website is non-partisan and is solely dedicated to removing the harmful controls placed on our state and nation through Agenda 21 and its associated programs. We invite all Idahoans to join us in this fight for freedom!
